Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how KwikShiksha ("we", "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal data when you use our website and Service. It is written with reference to India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act"), under which you are a "Data Principal" and we act as the "Data Fiduciary" for the data described below.

2. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information: your name, email address, and password (stored in hashed form by our authentication provider, Supabase — we never see or store your plain-text password).
• Payment information: when you subscribe, our payment processor Razorpay collects your card, UPI, or bank details directly. We receive only the order status, amount, and transaction identifiers — never your full card or bank details.
• Usage data: which lessons, courses, and quizzes you access, and your subscription status.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, and cookies used to keep you logged in and operate the Service securely.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Create and maintain your account, and authenticate you when you log in;
• Process payments and grant access to paid content for the period you've paid for;
• Provide, maintain, and improve the lessons and features of the Service;
• Communicate with you about your account, payments, and support requests;
• Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security issues;
• Comply with our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it to serve third-party advertising.

4. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to protect the Service (for example, to verify your session on each request). These are required for the Service to function and cannot be turned off without breaking login. We do not currently use third-party advertising or analytics cookies.

5. Who we share data with

We share limited data with the service providers who help us run KwikShiksha:

• Supabase — hosts our database and handles authentication;
• Razorpay — processes payments and handles your card/UPI/bank details;
• Vercel — hosts our website and application;
• YouTube (Google) — hosts and streams lesson videos embedded in the Service.

These providers are only permitted to use your data to provide their service to us, not for their own independent purposes. We may also disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of KwikShiksha or others.

6. Where your data is stored

Our infrastructure providers may store and process data on servers located outside India. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your data continues to receive an appropriate level of protection.

7. Data retention

We retain your account and usage data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, tax, and accounting requirements or to resolve disputes. You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time (see Section 9).

8. Security

We rely on our providers' security controls (including encryption in transit and role-based database access controls) to protect your data, and we restrict access to personal data to what is needed to operate the Service. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you;
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
• Request deletion of your account and personal data;
• Withdraw consent for processing that relies on your consent;
• Lodge a grievance with our Grievance Officer (Section 12) or the relevant data protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, email support@kwikshiksha.in. We will respond within a reasonable time and in line with legal requirements.

10. Children's privacy

Because KwikShiksha offers school-level lessons, some of our users are minors. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must consent to these Terms and this Privacy Policy on your behalf, and is responsible for supervising your use of the Service. We do not knowingly collect more personal data from children than is necessary to provide the Service.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you directly.
